REFLECTIVE ESSAY

I really have a hard time in making my blog because we don’t have any computer at home. My brother has to take our laptop with him in Iligan City. But even though I am having a hard time, I really felt happy seeing the result because all my hardwork paid off and even though there are lots of blogs that are beautiful, I am still proud of my own blog because I worked hard for it. And for me, it is not just the design that matters, but also the content.

What Christmas Means To Me

It is the time of the year again, the wind starts to become colder. People are busy buying gifts. Children have their pretty big smiles. And the Christmas songs that serenades me make me feel that Christmas is coming.
Many People misunderstood the true meaning of Christmas especially the children. They thought that Christmas is the time of the year where there are lots of food in their tables, bright surroundings because of the Christmas lights, decorations and gifts. But for me, the true meaning of Christmas is reminding us about the birth of  Jesus Christ, the king of all kings, and our savior. Christmas is also the time of loving, sharing, and forgiving people who had sinned to us. It is the season of the year to thank Jesus Christ and adore Him for all the good things that he had given to us and for the everlasting love that we receive everyday.
So let us all celebrate Christmas full of  love. It doesn't matter if we only have few preparation as long as we are celebrating Christmas with Jesus. It is more than enough.

Hello Changes!

As we live, there are things that we need to change not only to ourselves but also to our society, nation, and world. Change is very important to all especially to human kind. If a person changes, it means that the person is growing, being mature and ready to become a better person.
The things that I want to change in myself are being so quite, shy and being an inexpressive person especially to my parents. I wanted to change these traits because I want my parents to know that I love them and I appreciate all the things that they had given me. I also want to change from being a shy person because I cannot participate on the class sometimes and preferred to stay on a corner like I dont exist.
The things that I want to change on our society is the way people treat the animals. They consider them as trash, kicking and throwing stones on them and not giving them food and shelter. I also want to change the way people handle their waste and garbages. I hope they will put it on the right place.
In our nation, I would like to change the bad habits of the people like holdapping, kidnapping, car-napping and all the things that cause pain or death to other people that will lead to break the hearts on the family who are left behind especially when there is no justice.
The thing that I want to change in the whole world is the way people treat each other. Some people don't respect each other, boys and girls, young and old, we need to respect not just the people but also the animals and on surroundings. Respect is a way of expressing our love to a person. Without respect, we cant avoid quarrel and battles, even the love of a person to you will disappear. Our world will truly become better if we all respect each other.
There are so many things that I wanted to change  and I hope this will all come true. We should work on it and not just think or dream. We should change for a better tomorrow and not for worse.

Reaction Paper on the Deconstruction Of Thank You Ma'am

Last two weeks, We learned about the story of Thank You Ma'am by Langston Hughes. It is about Mrs. Luella Bates Washington Jones who helped a boy named Roger despite of what Roger did to her. After reading the deconstruction of Thank You Ma'am, I realized that the theme of the story is not just Mrs. Luella Bates Washington Jones  taught a boy a valuable lesson by taking him in and pampering him in her house but also, there is not always someone for one to  depend on.My reaction is that, the deconstruction of Thank You Ma'am has also a point. Instead of taking the boy to the police station for having an attempt of snatching her pocketbook. Mrs. Luella Bates Washington Jones took the boy to her house and gave the boy food and drinks. She treated Roger like a visitor. It's like nothing happened despite what Roger did to her. When the boy said that he just wanted to have a blue-suede shoes, Mrs. Jones replied that if he wanted a blue -suede shoes, all he needs to do is just to ask. In this way, she teaches the boy to be dependent. You cannot just ask the things that you want to a person especially if you don't know him or her. Not all of the people are like Mrs. Luella Bates Washington Jones. The boy may do the same way to other people to get what he wants because he expected to be treated the same way as what Mrs. Jones did. In short, I agree with the statement written in the deconstruction of Than You Ma'am, because there are also times that you cannot get the things that you want. In order to have it, you must work for it.

Our Values Today

Values are the most important things that we should have.we have to have good values to have peace and to live our life the way we want to be. Do you think our values' today are  just the same as before?
We are living in a changing world. We changed our style, technology, wants and taste. Some of our values are being helpful, kind, polite, honest, patient, loving and God -fearing. But as we observe, we can hardly see these values because there are also people who don't have good values. Some of them are dishonest, back-biter and liar. It doesn't mean that they can't have good values. They can develop values by associating with other people who have good values or by asking their parents and friends to teach them to have a good value.
Our values today are not changed. It is just the same as before. Changing is natural but it doesn't mean that our values will also change . Our values are just hidden and you can find it if you will make a way.

My Teacher, My Hero

In my life, I’ve met a teacher which I considered as my hero. She is my “knight and shining armor” and I knew what the world means because of her.
i considered her as my hero because she made me a better person than before. She changes my life and made me into somebody. And now, there is nothing that I could not do. Her qualities are similar to the qualities of a hero . She has a power to enlighten one's mind, She is caring like a hero , She is strong because she doesn't easily give up in teaching when the students dont understand the lesson. Most importantly , she saves live sbecause she teaches us how to become a good person. She also teaches us to avoid bad habits like smoking, drinking lots of alcohol and taking drugs because those can destroy our future. Of all her qualities, I really like the way she saves our lives through teaching because many people nowadays, young or old are suffering from many diseases because of their bad habits. I also like her quality of being strong because she never gives up in teaching because she likes what she is doing and she cares for us. When I was in kindergarten, teacher Ruth always talked to me and comforted me when I was crying. She always complemented my work even though it's not really nice. She still told me that I am talented and smart. She accompanied me while waiting for my father. Now, I really missed her and I'm really sad about her death this year. I didn't have a chance to say thank you for all the things that she did to me.
I believe that teachers are heroes and I am so lucky that I have them. I am so thankful because they treated me like their own daughter and even though many days will pass, they will always remain inside my heart.
